White-Tail Pennsylvania Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made from all Pennsylvania grains. Our mash bill consists of 70% Wapsie Valley Corn, 15% Danko Rye, 10% Malted Barley, and 5% Malted Rye. This whiskey is aged in new, 53-gallon white oak barrels with a #4 char for a minimum of 2 years. It has a soft nose, displaying hints of oak, caramel, and stonefruit. The palate is sweet and full, with notes of light baking spices, red fruits, vanilla, and oak.

White Tail Bourbon impressed with its rich mouthfeel, sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, and a smooth balance of gingerbread, cinnamon, and light spice. A touch of pecan and apple adds depth, while the long tobacco finish seals the deal. At just two years old and $40, it’s a standout pour that punches above its age. I gave it a 9 out of 10 for its balance, flavor, and craftsmanship. Well done Barrel 21!
