

BARREL 21 DISTILLERY
At Barrel 21 Distillery, our commitment is simple: create exceptional, award-winning spirits that celebrate Pennsylvania craftsmanship. From grain to glass, every step of our distillation process is handled in-house using locally grown grains and carefully selected barrels. Our lineup balances tradition and innovation—we maintain a core collection of bourbon and whiskeys while continuously experimenting with unique small-batch releases. These one-of-a-kind spirits are crafted to offer Happy Valley and beyond something you can’t find anywhere else.
Our distillery is powered by a 350-liter Carl still, built in 2015 by Carl Artisan Stills just outside Stuttgart, Germany. With a 7-plate rectifying column, dephlegmator, and stainless-steel condenser, it is engineered to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors that make each batch distinctive. The Carl family has been building stills of the highest quality since 1869, and their craftsmanship ensures our spirits are as precise as they are flavorful.
Copper lies at the heart of our still, alembic, and rectifying column. Known for its superior heat transfer, wetting properties, and ability to bond with sulfur compounds, copper plays a vital role in producing a spirit that is clean, pure, and layered with character. After distillation, our spirits are transferred to storage tanks, where they are carefully blended with purified water to achieve the perfect barrel or bottle strength.
