Wheated Bourbon

Our Wheated Bourbon keeps the classic bourbon rules but swaps rye for wheat to soften spice and elevate vanilla, honeyed-corn, shortbread, and baked-apple notes. Distilled in State College for a smooth, rounded finish, it’s matured for almost 3 years in #4 charred American White Oak barrels. Approachable neat, it ages beautifully and shines in classic cocktails.
 
Interesting Note: 
Wheated bourbon is bourbon that trades the usual rye “spice grain” for wheat—while still meeting all the classic rules: at least 51% corn and aged in new, charred oak. That simple swap softens the edges, letting vanilla, honeyed corn, shortbread, and baked-apple notes glide to the front. Think less peppery kick, more pastry-shop warmth and a creamy finish. Because wheat doesn’t compete with the oak, wheated bourbons often age gracefully, building caramel and custard-like depth over time.
